While out west the Aurora is hijacked by outlaws, leaving Phileas, Rebecca, and Jules stranded. They are befriended by Samuel Clemens, a newspaper writer with a quick wit and an eye for Rebecca.

The four head off in pursuit of the missing airship while the outlaws - Captain Quantrill and Frank and Jesse James - make life miserable for poor Passepartout. Held hostage aboard the airship, the resourceful valet arranges his escape and flees to the temporary safety of a small western town.

It is there that the outlaws will face Phileas Fogg, his friends, and a most unusual ally in a showdown you won't believe.
